Ex-Arsenal keeper Wright set for Sheffield United stay

Richard Wright is set to be offered a new deal to remain with English Championship club Sheffield United.

The former Ipswich Town, Arsenal and Everton goalkeeper joined the Blades in September on an initial four-month contract which ends in January.

But Sheffield’s caretaker boss John Carver wants to keep Steve Simonsen’s back-up at Bramall Lane for the remainder of the season.
