Ex-Arsenal keeper Lehmann stirring trouble at Stuttgart

Former Arsenal goalkeeper Jens Lehmann is creating more controversy at new club Stuttgart.

Lehmann has caused a stir in the tiny town where he lives - by chartering a helicopter to fly the 310-mile round trip to training with Stuttgart.

The former Arsenal keeper, 38, lives at Lake Starnberg with his wife and three kids to escape the glare of publicity but his noisy helicopter trips have annoyed the 8,000 inhabitants of his village.

Residents have moaned about the noise after Lehmann's chopper landed late at night on the local football pitch.

Town mayor Rupert Monn said: "Several people have complained.

"I hope Herr Lehmann will not continue to land in the centre of the village. Otherwise I will have to speak to him personally.

"Michael Ballack used to live here but we did not have problems with him."
