Former Arsenal defender John Halls admits he was always baffled that manager Arsene Wenger passed on signing Yaya Toure.
The Manchester City star trialled with Arsenal as a youngster while playing with then Gunners' partner club Beveren.
Halls recalled to the Daily Mail: "When I first arrived at the club, I looked and thought 'Who is this boy?'. He was unbelievable, but when he wanted to try, he was super unbelievable.
"It's no surprise Toure has grown in stature and gone on to become a great player. He's even better than I thought he would be."
