Former Arsenal youth chief Andrie Jonker has questioned Holland's youth players push to move to England.
Jonker raised the trouble Manchester United defender Timothy Fosu-Mensah is experiencing this season on-loan at Fulham.
"I keep my reservations about whether this is the right step. Play a hundred games in the Eredivisie first, I often think. Besides Tim Krul and Nathan Aké, no player has succeeded in enforcing a basic place in the Premier League from the youth.
"Timothy Fosu Mensah? He now also has a hard time with Fulham.
"When I worked at Arsenal, manager Arsène Wenger sometimes called youth players for matches in the League Cup. But when Arsenal came into action a few days later for the Premier League, those guys were not in the selection. And for fifty games afterwards also not. It does say something that boys like (Ki-Jana) Hoever and (Tahith) Chong are among the greatest talents of their club. That is of course positive."
