John Hartson has joined the Wales backroom team.

Ex-Arsenal, West Ham United and Celtic striker Hartson, who won 51 caps for his country, is expected to be utilised in a motivational capacity.

He said: "Chris (Coleman) simply asked me, 'Would you like to come and work for me?'.

"I immediately accepted, shook his hand and promised him I'd do anything possible to help make the Wales team successful. Everyone knows how much of a patriot I am."
