Ex-Arsenal boss Wenger: France will be stronger against better teams

Former Arsenal boss Arsene Wenger says France should be aiming for the World Cup semifinals.

Wenger believes Les Bleus can continue to build momentum through the tournament.

He told JDD: "Get into the last four. Our appetite will grow very quickly. The team shows great solidarity, and we will be more comfortable against very technical teams who manage to play the game because we have extraordinary potential for explosive counter-attacks.

"And it will be felt against teams like Germany, Spain, Brazil or Belgium. The more the competition goes forward, the more this physical power will make the difference."
