Former Ajax development chief Ruben Jongkind is adamant Davy Klaassen will prove his quality at Everton.

The ex-Ajax captain has struggled for form since his summer move to Goodison Park.

But Jongkind told Sky Sports: "I'm sure he'll be a success at Everton. He may need half a year to adjust, but afterwards he'll become invaluable.

"He has an excellent mindset and always wants to work hard, he is technically skilled and is definitely able to adapt to the Premier League.

"I think (Ronald) Koeman did well to get him."
