Former Ajax midfielder Eyong Enoh is confident Frank de Boer will be successful at Crystal Palace.

Enoh, now with Standard Liege, played for De Boer at Ajax and has experience in England with Fulham.

"He took over the team in December and a few months later we became champion. It was the thirtieth title, which earned us third star. That made it extra special," he told Sky Sports.

"De Boer is a boy from the club, so it was very symbolic. Martin Jol did a good job, but the team went more on the 'Ajax-way' football."

On De Boer's Palace move, Enoh says: "But he will have to make minor adjustments. He needs to be aware of what is needed in the competition. If he gets the players he wants to work with, De Boer will do well."
