Ex-Ajax playmaker Rosales grateful to Seattle Sounders

Mauro Rosales has been traded by Seattle Sounders after three successful seasons.

The 32-year old Argentine playmaker, who joined from River Plate in 2011, has been traded to Chivas USA and admitted he was sad to be leaving CenturyLink Field.

The former Ajax man, who scored 12 goals and provided 34 assists with the Sounders, posted a series of Tweets thanking Sounders fans and the club for supporting him during his stay in Seattle.

During his time with the Sounders, Rosales won the 2011 MLS Newcomer of the Year award as well as the 2011 Lamar Hunt US Open Cup.
