Ex-Ajax coach Bosz warns Kluivert: Competition at Man Utd is murderous

Former Ajax coach Peter Bosz has urged Justin Kluivert to stay where he is.

Linked with Manchester United, the winger has talked up interest from Real Madrid this week.

But Bosz told Voetbal International: "The fact that he will make the step abroad is a realistic prospect, but also for that it is still too early.

Bosz urged Kluivert to follow the same path as Napoli star Dries Mertens.

"Back then, at AGOVV, there were doubts as to whether he could handle it physically, but he opted for the gradual road, one step higher, where he could play minutes and develop himself.

"Via FC Utrecht, to PSV, abroad, and now he is a weekly star at the top of Italy."

Bosz added: "He can now go to Manchester United, but the competition there is murderous, with players like Anthony Martial and Jesse Lingard, who also have a lot of qualities.

"Justin is so young. He must play weekly and first become the best in the Netherlands."
