Ronald de Boer has stated his belief that Manchester City will eventually emerge victorious in the Champions League.
City have flattered to deceive in Europe's premier club competition over the last few years and their exit from this year's edition was sealed in disappointing fashion after the champions of England surrendered meekly against Barcelona on Wednesday night.
?Therefore, many feel that City are miles behind their European rivals and that they will find it difficult to win the Champions League anytime soon.
?However, former Ajax and Barcelona star de Boer has said that he is confident of City eventually emerging victorious in the Champions League but they will have to change their mindset in order to do so.
?Speaking to talkSPORT, de Boer said: "Manchester City have the potential to eventually win the Champions League, they need to change their mindset.
?"When I watch them in the Premier League I always think, 'that's the way they should play'."?
