Ex-AC St Louis coach Anelka suggests brother Nicolas will play MLS

The brother of Chelsea star Nicolas Anelka has indicated that the French striker will one day play MLS.

Claude Anelka, the former coach of USSF Division 1 club AC St Louis, suggested to mls-news.fr that younger brother Nicolas is interested in a move to MLS once his days in the English Premier League are over.

"Nicolas said 'when my contract will be over, what will I do ?' He's interested in the United States," Anelka said.

"He told me so. More and more players want to go playing over there. United States represent something. It makes you dream. You say "I'm gonna try there, even if I earn less money than in Qatar, for example."

32-year old Anelka has had an extensive career in Europe, kicking off with Paris Saint-Germain in 1995 before having stints with Arsenal, Real Madrid, a return to PSG, Liverpool, Manchester City, Fenerbahce and Bolton. He has scored around 120 goals in the English Premier League.
