Ariedo Braida is delighted to be joining Barcelona as new technical director.
Braida and Carles Rexach will form part of a new football commission at the club.
"I am very happy, because today Carles Rexach and Ariedo Braida have agreed to form part of the committee. I am thrilled to have two people like them, who have great experience in the world of football," said president Josep Maria Bartomeu.
"The commission has the clear working goal of planning for next season. Rexach is an expert in Barcelona first-team football, from the first team to Barca B and youth football. Braida is a professional who knows perfectly the world of football. He has worked for many years and has experience that will bring us a lot. All work together with Jordi Mestre and Javier Bordas to plan the season."
Former AC Milan chief Braida remarked: "Joining the club is fantastic. I am at the world's biggest club. There is no club like it in Europe. If you don't have the culture of working in a big club, you can't work at Barça, and I can bring this culture. In addition, we can make a great team with Charly."
