Former AC Milan coach Mauro Tassotti is happy to see Paolo Maldini back at the club.
Maldini has returned to Milan to work as a technical director.
Tassotti said: “Maldini? Thanks to his experience he has an overall football competence, then it's obvious that if there's a transfer negotiation he'll be the first to realise he needs to learn this subject.
“It was a crime that Paolo wasn't involved at Milan, I find it absurd that he didn't come back earlier but evidently he wasn't convinced by the previous project.
“I don't blame him, there was a President [Yonghong Li] who rarely put his face forward, which didn't help with the financial doubts.
“And then - can I say this? - there were too many people coming from Inter. Now the club has made a good turn and finally there's clarity."
