Ex-Aberdeen striker Miller has no doubts over Middlesbrough move

Former Aberdeen striker Lee Miller has no doubts his move to Middlesbrough will boost his career.

Miller joined Boro in a £500,000 deal in January and is loving life under ex-Celtic gaffer Gordon Strachan.

The 26-year-old admitted: "It's exciting times for me, especially working with a manager like Gordon Strachan.

"That was a big attraction for me. I'd seen what he'd done for Celtic and he's a big character in football. I'd also heard enough from the boys in the Scotland squad about his training.

"They had said his sessions were really good and I've found that out for myself. I'm thriving working for Gordon.

"He's an honest boss who tells you it like it is. It's good to have that. Playing for Gordon can get me back into the Scotland squad, I don't see why not.

"As long as I keep doing what I have been for the past couple of years I'd hope to get back into Craig Levein's plans.

"Working with Gordon can only benefit my game. Just the fact he wanted to sign me was a massive confidence boost. Hopefully I can repay him for that. I'm re-adjusting to a different type of football and a different area.

"My family will be down here permanently soon. We've already got a house not far from the training ground."
