Manchester United fullback Patrice Evra has hit out at Arsenal fans for jeering Robin van Persie. Van Persie kept his nerve to convert his penalty in yesterday's 1-1 draw.
"People forget what he achieved for [Arsenal]," Evra told manutd.com. "But he showed them that he hasn't made the wrong choice. It was a long time that he didn't win the league [at Arsenal]. He has come to Manchester United and won the league.
"He did a good job for Arsenal and I was really disappointed for him. I think he felt it as well. To take that penalty he showed what a world-class, top player he is. He kept his nerves down to score that penalty and I am happy for him."
