Patrice Evra has told Manchester United boss Sir Alex Ferguson they can avoid defeat at Chelsea - by starting him!

United are looking for their first win there since 2002 to go top of the league by a point - but defeat and they fall five points behind Carlo Ancelotti's team.

Evra said: "When I play against Chelsea something bad always happens.

"There was the trouble after one game and then this season there was the incident with Ballack.

"I have to make sure nothing happens this time. I just want to have a good memory and enjoy it because I always enjoy playing against Chelsea.

"I think I have never lost against them. We lost in the Community Shield but I never lose when I start against them. I want that to continue."
