Patrice Evra will be rested for tomorrow night's Europa League clash says Manchester United boss Sir Alex Ferguson.
The French left-back was at the forefront of the Luis Suarez non-handshake incident on Saturday which has received plenty of attention from all angles.
Ahead of the Round of 32 meeting with Ajax at the Amsterdam ArenA, Ferguson says it is in the best interests of Evra if he does not play.
"We have rested Patrice," said Ferguson. "It has been an emotional week for him and it is the right thing to do."
