Patrice Evra has offered advice to Lazio midfielder Sergej Milinkovic-Savic over a potential move to Manchester United.
Evra would be pleased to see the 22-year-old at Old Trafford but says he needs to be mentally strong to succeed.
“I'm really careful when I talk about Man United because to play for this club it's not about your ability, you need to be a character, personality," he said on ITV.
“I think to play for this club you need to die for this club.
“It's really the expectation I urge and I'm afraid now I miss people playing for the passion.
“If you said 20 years ago 'Patrice, you will play for Manchester United' and I wouldn't even get paid, I would play for this club.
“So if he has that mentality, I don't ask him to say 'I don't want any money', but if he goes there he must make sure he will die for the club.
“So, I would be really happy for him."
