Everyone at Newcastle excited about Man City meeting says Pardew

Newcastle United boss Alan Pardew says everybody involved with the club is extremely excited about this weekend's meeting with league leaders Manchester City.

The undefeated Magpies take on City at Etihad Stadium on Saturday and Pardew has indicated that the preparation has so far gone to plan despite some players being away on international duty.

"The guys who haven't been on international duty have been terrific. The training has been brilliant. We are looking forward to the game," he told the Evening Chronicle.

"We have a few players to come back today and Man City certainly have the luxury of more players to call upon. But we can't wait.

"They still have a lot to do to stay at the top of the league ahead of Chelsea, Man United, Arsenal, Liverpool and Spurs, who are beginning to settle now, so the race really is on for that title."
