Liverpool midfielder Emre Can has proclaimed that Germany are a specialist tournament team and will be back to their best at Euro2016.

The World Cup winners were far from impressive in their qualifying campaign, but Can insists that they have the quality to lift the trophy in France this summer.

"We have a very young squad in the national team [but] we have a good mix with experienced players," he told BBC Sport.

"We are world champions and our target has to be win the Euros. Everybody knows Germany is a tournament team so we will see what happens.

"A few players changed, of course, but a lot of players are still there and they know how to win the title. That's what we want to do in France as well."
