Everton defender Phil Jagielka has jumped to the defence of teammate Marouane Fellaini.
The Belgian midfielder sparked a debate about his future at Goodison Park with a show of petulance after being subbed in the FA Cup flop against Wigan two weeks ago.
Jagielka insisted Fellaini had played through the pain barrier in Saturday's 2-0 win over Manchester City.
Jagielka said: "He was desperate to play, he strapped himself up and put in a great performance. You can't question his commitment."
