Everton's Vidarsson happy with FC Twente move

Everton youngster Bjarni Vidarsson has moved to Dutch club FC Twente in a loan deal that could become a more permanent two-and-a-half year switch.

The Icelandic midfielder has only made one appearance for the Premier League side and will now hope to impress in the Dutch Eredivisie.

Vidarsson joins Twente on loan until the end of the current season where he will link up with his brother Arnar who is also on the club's books.

The 19-year-old has initially moved on loan and, if he impresses, will then join Twente on a permanent basis when his contract with Everton expires at the end of the season.

"I was 16 when I joined Everton from Iceland and I gained good experience," Vidarsson told Twente's official website.

"But I did not have many possibilities and my aim at FC Twente is to play more games."
