Louis Saha has admitted he made the right decision to leave Old Trafford and head for Everton over the summer. The French striker suffered four injury-plagued years in Manchester.
He told The Guardian, "I had one choice to make over summer and I didn't make a mistake.
"Whenever you leave Manchester United it is a step down but, if we have to look at it this way, Everton is a good step down."
Despite his injury nightmare the striker admitted he still had fond memories of his time as at Old Trafford.
"There were some really good times (at United). Of course there were," said Saha before adding, "It's a great club, the No.1 in Europe, and it was great being part of such a successful team, but in the end, I could understand why the manager did not want to keep me any longer. I just guess I was unlucky."
