Everton midfielder Jack Rodwell was delighted with his goal scoring performance in England U21's 1-1 draw with Germany.

"You just have to take your chance when you get it and hopefully I did that and I'm in the manager's thoughts," Rodwell said.

"There is always more to come, you can always improve. We're all working together and know it's a squad game.

"We're definitely confident going into the semis, we go in to play our own game and hopefully we'll get through it."
