Everton defender Joleon Lescott is looking forward to testing himself in Europe next season.

He told evertonfc.com: "I didn't know what to expect because it was the first time that I've played in Europe. Going away to some of the grounds with the fans was quality so hopefully we can get the same atmosphere this season.

"It was always nice to score goals, but again I think that the season we had last season meant that it was important to finish fifth and not come in through the back door via the Intertoto."
