Everton defender Joleon Lescott is delighted with the nine goals he's scored this season.

The England international also scored in Saturday's 1-1 draw with Birmingham City and told evertonfc.com: "I never would have guessed that I would score so many and I'm pleased I'm up there creating so many opportunities to keep us alive.

"It's always nice to score in local games for me personally but it's more important for Everton to win."

David Moyes told evertonTV: "I'm delighted for him and I hope he keeps scoring.

"He comes up for a lot of corners and a lot of free kicks so hopefully he can keep that going. If he's got at least another one before the end of the season that would be nice."
