Everton defender Phil Jagielka is hoping to be fully fit and back in action by November. The England international is currently working with the Toffees' medical staff, recovering from knee surgery while his colleagues are on holiday.

"I'm trying not to set myself a target. I've said around November, but it depends," the 26 year old told Sky Sports News.

"I'm going to see the surgeon again in a few weeks and he'll give me more of an idea of how everything is. Then we can see if we can set more realistic aims on when I can come back."
