Everton midfielder Tim Cahill was on target as Australia secured a comfortable win over Qatar in a World Cup qualifier.
The Toffees had expressed concerns over whether Cahill should make the trip, but he justified his selection with the second goal in the 3-0 win.
After Josh Kennedy had opened the scoring in Melbourne, Cahill climbed high to plant a header into the corner on 17 minutes.
Celtic forward Scott McDonald teed up Mark Bresciano to wrap up the victory.
With the game won, Australia removed Cahill with 23 minutes remaining and he is set to make the trip back England ahead of Everton's clash with Reading on Saturday.
