England boss Fabio Capello could have his squad boosted considerably if he was to open the door to foreign-born, eligible England players.

Everton midfielder Mikel Arteta and Arsenal goalkeeper Manuel Almunia are both in the frame for an England call, while French-born trio Charles N'Zogbia (Wigan), Sylvain Distin (Portsmouth) and Jeremie Aliadiere (Middlesbrough) are also eligible.
