Everton's Anichebe happy with midfield role

Everton striker Victor Anichebe has no problem playing in midfield.

"The manager asked me to play right midfield, which is different for me," he told BBC Radio Merseyside after Everton's win at Stoke City.

"To be fair I enjoyed it and if he asks me to play there, I'm going to play there, it's not really a problem."

He was deployed out wide for the first time in his senior career at club level and said while he found it difficult to adjust initially, he did enjoy the experience.

"I'm still young and I'm still learning but I enjoyed today, I got myself on the scoresheet, I helped the team and I held the ball up.

"Right midfield is a very demanding position, you have to get forward and go back, it's crazy."
