Everton youngster Gethin Jones has committed his international future to Wales.

The Liverpool Echo says Jones has been included in Wales manager Chris Coleman's training squad ahead of their World Cup qualifier against Serbia on June 11.

Jones, who was born in Perth, has been the subject of an international tug-of-war between the Welsh and Australia.

Coleman's decision comes after Australia contacted the defender earlier this year to ask him to play for their Under-23 side.

But Jones - who has captained Wales from the Under-16s right the way up to Under-21 level - has previously admitted he felt “more Welsh than Australian."
