Everton won't give up on Benfica's Fernandes

Everton are refusing to give up on bringing Benfica midfielder Manuel Fernandes back to Merseyside.

Fernandes has written off his chances of securing a permanent move to the Premiership after his club, Benfica, valued him at £12million.

That price is well out of Everton's range and other clubs Fernandes has been linked with, such as Arsenal and West Ham, will also refuse to meet the asking price, says the Liverpool Daily Post. He could, however, return for another loan period if Benfica are open to him gaining more first-team experience and Everton manager David Moyes will continue to monitor the situation.
