Everton winger Shani Tarashaj insists his loan move to Eintracht Frankfurt was his choice.

The Switzerland international did a first full preseason with Everton this summer before joining Eintracht last week on a year-long loan.

"It was my wish. I want to play more," said Tarashaj. "I am looking forward to experiencing the club and the fans."

Being closer to Switzerland also suits the midfielder.

"That certainly has an advantage. I am closer to my family."
