Everton winger Aiden McGeady is joining Sheffield Wednesday.

McGeady is set to join Sheffield Wednesday on loan despite interest from Leeds and Blackburn Rovers, says the Daily Mail.

The Republic of Ireland international has only made one first-team appearance for Everton this season and is anxious for more playing time ahead of Euro 2016.

Manager Roberto Martinez confirmed over the weekend that Everton have agreed terms with two Championship clubs. Wednesday are understood to be favourites to sign McGeady ahead of their rivals after the 29-year-old had a medical with them.
