Everton will take their time to find Irvine replacement

Everton will take their time over replacing academy director Alan Irvine.

The Scot was named new manager of West Bromwich Albion on the weekend.

Irvine, 55, has played a prominent role at Finch Farm, helping the progress of exciting youngsters such as Ross Barkley, Ryan Ledson and Liam Walsh, and manager Roberto Martinez will cast his net wide to find someone capable of continuing his crucial work, says the Liverpool Echo.
