Everton will not jeopardise MLS relationship over Donovan deal

Everton are reluctant to go to war over extending their loan deal for LA Galaxy captain Landon Donovan.

The Times says Everton boss David Moyes is resigned to losing the 27-year-old because although the manager and the club’s hierarchy would like to retain Donovan’s services, they are not willing to jeopardise their relationship with the Galaxy or Major League Soccer in an effort to make that happen.

Donovan's final game for Everton will be this Saturday at Birmingham City.
