Everton have formalised a partnership with injury prevention specialists Kitman Labs, reports, www.sportspromedia.com/. The Toffees are the first English Premier League team to utilise the company's 'Profiler System', which is designed to calculate injury risk in individual players.
Kitman's chief executive Iarfhlaith Kelly said: "We have worked very closely with Everton, and their back-office staff to understand their injury profile, and through a combination of validated research studies and anecdotal evidence within the club, we have built up a battery of screening tests which are directly related to the club's highest known injury risks."
According to Kitman Labs, each injury costs an EPL side an average of US$660,000 in lost wages.
