Everton voted No1 by Premier League fans

Everton chief Robert Elstone is delighted the club has come out No1 in a Premier League fans' poll.

The Blues were voted the best in the top flight in a host of key areas, with junior ticket prices, stewarding and ease of buying tickets online all topping the table.

With 36,878 fans taking part in the independent research nationwide, including 1,665 Evertonians, the survey gauges overall attitudes towards each club, as well as asking supporters to rank overall matchday experience, customer service, ticketing facilities and stadium safety.

Elstone told the Liverpool Echo: "Every day, across everything we do, we aspire to 'nil satis nisi optimum', and the judges of whether we reach that lofty bar are of course, our fans. That's why the results of this year's Premier League Fan Survey are so pleasing.

"Not only do they endorse continued and significant improvement across the board, and, in many areas top four (and higher) positions, they tell us our four-pronged strategy - focusing on matchdays, how easy it is for fans to get their hands on tickets and merchandise, fan engagement and securing the best possible insight into our fans' interests, needs and wants - is working.

"I'm most pleased they show year-on-year improvement.

"Our catering and retail teams score high in the top 10 and our match day police are rated the best in the league."
