Everton defender Sylvain Distin is confident Eliaquim Mangala will come good for Manchester City.
Distin is a former City player.
He told L'Equipe: "It's not like he had three games this season! For the first season, 17 games is positive.
"When a player arrives, you always want him to play 40 matches and be elected player of the year.
"But this is a tough championship, he is young, he has to adapt to new training methods, at a very high level, and facing him is Vincent Kompany, the captain of the team.
"And if he had cost 10million euros people would talk less. But he has that label of 54 million. I do not see why he would fail to establish himself."
