Everton U21 coach Alan Stubbs is being linked with the job at Hibs.
The Daily Express says Stubbs has been interviewed for the Easter Road post as the Championship club seek a replacement for the sacked Terry Butcher.
Stubbs, who successfully battled cancer, had a glittering playing career that saw him turn out for Celtic, Bolton, Derby County, Sunderland and Everton.
Chelsea legend Jimmy Floyd Hasselbaink, who recently managed Royal Antwerp, has also been linked with the job.
