Everton are close to signing Samuel Eto'o according to reports.
The Liverpool Echo suggests that the Toffees will now offer the Cameroon striker the option to stay in the Premier League following his release from Chelsea earlier in the summer.
Eto'o had been heavily linked with Liverpool prior to their signing of Mario Balotelli from AC Milan but it now appears as though he could still be making his way to Merseyside.
The former Barcelona and Inter Milan star is due to undergo a medical at Finch Farm on Tuesday before signing two-year deal with the Goodison Park side.
