Everton trying to push through deal for Man City's Barry

Everton are still hoping to land Manchester City midfielder Gareth Barry.

The Liverpool Echo suggests that the Toffees want the 32-year old midfielder on a season-long loan as long as they can come to an agreement on his enormous wages.

Barry earns £125,000-a-week at City and is unlikely to be used much by Manuel Pellegrini this campaign, however, Everton boss Roberto Martinez does not want to pay the full quota for the ex-Aston Villa man.
