Everton boss David Moyes is moving for Rennes fullback Rod Fanni.

The Sunday Mirror says the Scot is a long-time admirer of the Rennes right-back, who is rated at ­£5million. And he sent spies to check on the 28-year-old once again in his side's 2-0 French Cup win over Caen last weekend.

Fanni's impressive form has previously attracted interest from Manchester City, West Ham and Newcastle.

He was named in Ligue 1's Team of the Season last year.
