Everton are ready to hand Darron Gibson a new deal.
Gibson, who has cruelly suffered an injury nightmare since joining the club in January 2012, missed the final games of last season after breaking his foot.
The Daily Star Sunday says boss Roberto Martinez is happy with Gibson's recovery progress and the club are keen to sit down with the midfielder's representatives to sort out his long term future.
Gibson, 27, has entered the final 12 months of his current deal and Everton are happy to offer a two-year extension.
