Coventry City goalkeeper Kieran Westwood is set to turn down an offer from Everton.

The Toffees had been leading the chase to sign him, ahead of Wigan and Blackburn, but the English-born Republic of Ireland stopper hopes to sign a new contract at the Ricoh.

He said: "I want to stay and I am not banging on the door asking to leave. If we can agree something that will be fantastic."
