On-loan Aston Villa midfielder Tom Cleverly will be under the microscope when Villa face Everton on Saturday.

Cleverley was a subject of interest from the Toffees in the summer but moved to Villa from Manchester United in a last-minute transfer deadline day loan deal.

Both clubs are still reported to be interested in the player whose contract with United expires in the summer and Villa boss Tim Sherwood quipped that he'll be playing close attention to his display tomorrow.

"I'll be watching his performances carefully to see where his loyalties lie," he joked.

"He's really enjoying it here and he'll have a decision to make.

"I'm sure that Aston Villa will be in the frame."
