Everton suffers double injury blow in Cup defeat

Everton suffered a double injury blow during their Carling Cup defeat to Chelsea.

The hosts were forced to withdraw captain Phil Neville at half time and manager David Moyes confirmed he and Tim Cahill have both picked up injuries.

"Tim was carrying and injury through the game and Phil has a hamstring injury so we've got one or two doubts," revealed Moyes to evertonfc.com.

"But that's what it's like and that's why the good teams can play midweek and Saturday and keep winning because they have a good squad of players and hopefully we were able to show that as well."
