Everton striker Yakubu Aiyegbeni was outstanding for Leicester City in their 3-3 draw against his former club Middlesbrough.
Yakubu lashed home an early opener which was quickly cancelled out by Marvin Emnes.
The Nigerian then claimed a scrambled second just before the break - even though it appeared to go in off team-mate Sol Bamba - and slammed home his third 10 minutes after the restart.
"Yakubu is a fantastic, powerful player packed with Premiership qualities and people at this club remember from when he was here exactly what a handful he can be," said Boro boss Tony Mowbray.
"But it is not just Yakubu. Leicester are a good side and they have a lot of quality and lot of fighting spirit and I'd like to think our game plan to match them worked.
