Everton striker Yakubu Aiyegbeni must take a pay-cut to move away from Goodison Park.
The Nigerian striker was on loan with Leicester City last season and had been expected to make the move permanent this summer.
But new Hammers boss Sam Allardyce is interested in taking the hitman to Upton Park.
Yakubu earns £35,000 a week at Goodison Park and would have to take a pay cut to join either Leicester or West Ham.
